Ian Foster is Director of Foreign Language Teaching at the School of Modern Languages, University of Bristol. He was formerly Director of Languages and a Senior Lecturer in German at the University of Salford 1991-2012.
He is not the famous Ian Foster of Grid Computing fame, who is Ian T. Foster. Nor is he the first team coach of Portsmouth FC. Nor the Assistant Coach of the All Blacks. It is entirely possible though that we are all distantly related.
